Supper & Reunion Dinner with Coursemates!

Hie guys...this is my latest update since my last one in December. Juz finished test recently and went out to supper and reunion dinner with my coursemate (on different days) before going back to mlk for my sem break and also the following CNY celebrations with family. We went for our first late night supper on wednesday night. Audrey, the driver brought us to a place at Jalan Padang Kota Lama where we had our first round of supper which was trying out a sea snail or 'siput' called balitung. It's my first time trying out this siput and it was nice but I could not eat much as I get the 'jelak' feeling after awhile especially with cockles, la la, oysters and etc. Hehehhe... Our second round of supper was at Gurney drive where we had tong shuis like cendol, bubor cha cha, pek kuan ling zhi and some seafood fritters and penang asam laksa included. After supper, we hang out around the area and did some camwhoring...hehehhe...

Next up is the reunion dinner we had yesterday night where it was at a Thai Restaurant called Von Thai. There were eight of us and the restaurant offered set meals for RM9.80 per set. Considered cheap huh for Thai food...Now don't jump into conclusions that the food was small portion and not filling enough with juz two varity of lauk cause the price per set is so cheap. They have 20 tpyes of sets with each having different combinations of four dishes, one rice and one dessert. Of course the portion is for one person but because of the four dishes plus dessert it was kinda filling and very tasty too. AND VERY SPICY!!! The set combination I ordered was...kerabu mango, pud pet chicken (curry dish), stuffed crab shell and a bowl of tom yum soup (with some meat balls, prawns and crab). The dessert for every set is the same which is nangka sago with coconut milk. Kinda interesting. As the food was kinda spicy, I ate until my cheeks were blushed while the others have no obvious facial sign showing their terlalu pedas feelings...they juz say it was very spicy. There was one coursemate who ate until sweat dripping down from his forehead...hahaha. After dinner, we took a group photo before going back home with our bellies full and hearts content...heheh...

Christmas & New Year Greeting!

Been awhile since my last post...sorry for the non frequent updates. Kinda busy with fyp and also studies. Even during the semester break I was busy, trying my best to finish up my lab works for my fyp. Only had two weeks of holiday from the supposedly six weeks break. Besides being the family chauffeur, did some spring cleaning for my room which was really dusty as part of my room's wall is attached to the bathroom and that wall got infested with termites. The termites ferociously ate my study table-cum-cupboard and also my clothes cabinet.Luckily my clothes only suffer a little damage but the study table and clothes cabinet was beyond repair and had to be thrown away.Sigh, dun have any study table now but have a new cupboard for me to put my books. It took me two days to really cleaned out my room...threw away lots of old stuffs and also gave away my old clothes. Anyways, I'm back in Penang now as the last semester of my studies have started. Suppose to take ko-k as a uni requirement but I replace it with another english subject which is English Pronunciation Skills...where I will learn he proper pronoucement of English words and also learn to read phonetics too.I think when I finished this course and speak to u guys, U'll look at me one kind...hehhe cause of the slang ... hahha... I'll be going back to mlk next weekend cause it's a long weekend. Need to help mum out with the house spring cleaning cause CNY is coming di... For this weekend, I'll be juz doing lots of reading n journals and start writing up my thesis. My fyp lab work still has another part undone but I should be able to write the intro, literature review and the methods first for my supervisor to check... Ok lar... think I'll end here lar cause dun have anything else to add... To those who are celebrating christmas, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and to everyone else a very Happy New Year!!! =)

Weekend Field Trip!

Hie ppl... sorry for not blogging for quite some time already... hehhehe... kinda busy with FYP stuffs at the moment. By the time I came back from doing those stuff, I was too tired to do any other stuffs. Anyways, my weekend was a fun one. I went for a field trip to Cameron Highlands. Actually it was a compulsory trip for students who took Botany Economy and I am one of the students. I was kinda jittery before the trip due to past experiences. I went to Cameron Highlands once when I was still young with my sis and my cousins and their family. That time, I got motion sickness and vommited quite a lot of times cause of the winding journey. This time it was not so bad. I did feel dizzy even though we took the newer route which is less winding but I din vommit, Thanks to the traveller's pill and hacks manderin orange and ginger flavour sweets. Hehehhe... We visited a few places like Cactus Valley, MARDI plantations, BOH Tea plantations, Kea Farm, Butterfly Farm, Farmers' Arcade and also their pasar malam which is only held on weekends. At the BOH Tea plantation, the USM buses did not go up to the plantation instead they parked somewhere and we had to walked all the way up to the plantation. The walk was very exhausting as we had to walk uphill. Not to mention the very steep steps. By the time we reached the designated place, I was out of breath and so exhausted. Funny thing is, after sitting down for awhile, my breathing went back to normal. I guess it is due to the chilly climate. Yup, it is very chilly in Cameron Highlands and it rained some more when we were there which made the weather even colder. Took many pictures at the places we visited and I bought three potted rose plants. Mum asked me to buy actually. The colours of the roses are very nice. =). We had a great time there enjoying the chilly weather and the food are ok except that it was kinda pricey. Normal lar cause the place is a tourist attraction place. These are the pictures taken at there...
