Pictures of the plant physiology that I was talking about.

We did two experiments involving nutrients and hormones. We planted two types of vegetables - a) lady's fingers and b) long beans. Experiment for vegetable a), we research on nutrient deficieny while for vegetable b) we researched on hormones affecting its stem elongation and branching.

d plants in d big red pots r long beans while d ones in d small pail r lady's fingers.
me watering the long beans plants
my coursemate taking down some data on d plant growth for lady's finger.
me arranging d long beans plants 4 them to receive full sunlight Posted by Picasa
me again tying different coloured strings 2 d long beans plants 4 easy recognition
labelled the pots
d lady's finger plants r planted through hydroponic way. 3 types of nutrient deficient, 1 with full nutrients as control & 1 devoid of all nutrients n filled only with piped water. 2 replicates each( means ten pails with two plants in each pail) All pails r added with antibiotics as well 2 prevent bacterial infection. 1 of d lady's fingers plant showing a nutrient deficiency symptom
another deficiency symptom which causes the roots to rot early and disables water uptake by plant
necrosis or burn symptoms also cause by a nutrient deficiency.
this pail lacks of all nutrients as it contains only piped water & antibiotics. So d plant growth is retarded. Posted by Picasa
d long beans plants have grown and branched alot after hormone was applied on the severed stems.
there is a black millipede with yellow spots on its body at the edge of the pot
a coursemate watering d ever-shooting-up long beans plants..hehhehe!!!
can u guys spot d lady's finger fruit in d picture???????? ehhehe Posted by Picasa

The experiments is going to end soon something like next week. Just posting the pics for u guys to see so at least u know what I am talking about...hehhehe. Will keep updating as much as I can on my blog. Til then...Au revoir!
